WHO CAN IMAGINE?

Who can imagine what God can do if we will simply get out of the way?

Who can imagine what God will do and He’s willing to start today!

Look at your Bible from front to back, it’s a story of God stepping in.

A story of God making everything new when man was covered by sin.

Start with the flood in Noah’s tough times when wickedness ruled man’s life.

God built a boat of gigantic size and spared a man and his wife.

Even more than that He spared his kids, their wives and families too,

And yes, some animals were brought inside to make sure all would be new.

Walk the pages of Holy Writ

And see His plan unfold!

Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Moses

Their stories we are told.

These acts of God set a pattern, that’s stood from that day ‘til now.

God at His best when He’s in charge and man can simply bow

In loving obedience to His sweet will, to trust Him from the heart,

And step aside and let God work His new things from the start.

Add Judges and Prophets

And persons like David the King.

And don’t forget Daniel and Jonah and others

God’s messages they did bring.

Now here comes Matthew, Mark and Luke

And John the beloved of God.

Each recording Jesus on earth,

What redeeming paths He trod.

The Apostles’ work continued with power

Including the learned Paul.

Whose writings spelled out the plan of salvation

Offered by God to all.

The final book of New Testament truth,

The Revelation is it’s name!

Records how God in Christ will close

Man’s history of sin and shame.

Jesus forever will reign with His church

What glories lie ahead!

No tears or pain or grief anymore

Through Christ our living Head.

New things I say are what God does

When we aren’t in the way,

So step aside right now my friend

And let God have His way.
